A smuggling attempt was discovered in Lviv region. The criminals forged customs documents, citing branded clothing, smartphones and computers as humanitarian aid for the military. On June 21 this was reported by the head of Lviv Regional State Administration Maksym Kozytskyi.

“According to the results of the vehicle inspection, 14 pallets and 951 boxes with Apple, Xiaomi computer equipment, Apple, Samsung, Xiaomi mobile phones, new women’s Casadei, Vero, Bomond footwear and Dior brand clothing were found and confiscated,” says the message.

According to the head of the Lviv Regional State Administration, the attackers forged documents for the goods and took them allegedly for the needs of the Armed Forces. Smuggling under the guise of a humanitarian was seized and arrested. Its value is estimated at about ₴70 million, expert examinations are ongoing.

Last month the suspect was caught red-handed during the sale of the humanitarian and was found to have military ammunition worth millions of hryvnias.
