Manufacturers of smartphones often face leaks of information about their unannounced new products, and sometimes even provoke their appearance to heat up the interest of customers. However, there are cases when the company publishes basic information and images of its future smartphone long before the announcement. So, in particular, in recent years, Google is doing with its Pixel models. Interestingly, one of Google’s investments – the startup Nothing goes almost the same way.

Already on July 12, Nothing plans to present its first smartphone, which will receive a simple name – phone (1), and without waiting for the scheduled date, the company started publishing images of its design. It is already known what the back of the smartphone will look like.

One of the founders of Nothing, along with Carl Pei, who once created OnePlus, is a Swedish electronics and synthesizer manufacturer Teenage Engineering. It greatly influences the appearance of Nothing products, so starting with its debut wireless ear headphones (1), the company uses a minimalist design with transparent panels that emphasize the internal structure of the device.

This is what phone (1) - the first smartphone from Nothing looks like

Given the appearance of the back, Nothing phone (1) will be made in the same concept as the ear (1), although all the “insides” of the smartphone will be covered with white panels, but the user will see their silhouettes, including the coil of wireless charging system.

As you can see, Nothing is not chasing the number of cameras, the phone (1) will have only two modules. The company does not disclose details about the technical characteristics of the model, it is only known that it will use a Snapdragon processor from Qualcomm. In addition, according to rumors, the smartphone will receive a flat 6.55-inch FHD + OLED display with a cutout for a selfie camera in the center of the top of the panel.

Nothing phone (1) will run on the Android operating system, but with Nothing Launcher’s own interface. The company promises future smartphone users three years of Android upgrades and four years of security upgrades.

We will find out more details about phone (1) soon, apparently Nothing will wait for the announcement on July 12, but will gradually publish information about its first smartphone to hold the public’s attention.
