Polish 11 bit studios, known for the games Frostpunk and This War of Mine, announced a new fantastic project called The Alters.

Alters are alternative versions of yourself that the protagonist of the game, Jan Dolski, creates to survive on a distant planet after a failed landing. But the alters are not clones, each of them will have their personality, skills, habits, and so on.

According to the authors, The Alters is a game about those moments that change you. About simple decisions that are made in a split second, but affect all subsequent life. It’s about looking into yourself, into your past, and finding out if you are who you are, as the sum of these many small choices. And when you do, the insidious question immediately arises: WHAT IF…?

What if I had changed my life? What if I chose a different path? Who would I be? What would I say to another me? What could I learn if I talked to my other changed “I”? What happens if I talk to many versions of me at once?!

The game is being developed at Unreal Engine, 30 employees of 11 bit studios are currently working on the project. Others are known to create the sequel Frostpunk. The release date of the game is not yet known, but it already has pages on Steam and Epic Games Store.

There is no doubt that 11 bit studios can create very powerful games that raise important issues after This War of Mine and Frostpunk, so add The Alters to your wish list, and The Alters promises to make the Ukrainian language available.

We remind you that from the very beginning of the full-scale invasion, 11 bit studios has been supporting Ukraine, including financially. Thanks, 11 bit!
