Currently, among Apple laptops, the customer can choose between 13, 14, and 16 inches. But according to Mark Gurman of Bloomberg, Apple has plans to expand its laptops with some interesting changes.

First, there will be a larger MacBook Air. In its 14-year history, the MacBook Air has always been available in no more than 13-inch format (there was still an 11-inch model for a while). The company is currently working on an up to 15-inch version. But this will have to wait until next spring. Problems with production lines now create additional difficulties, so such processes are complicated.

Second, the company’s list of laptops can also be complemented with a 12-inch MacBook. The last time such an attempt was not very successful, because the small laptop already had legendary problems with the keyboard and did not always live up to expectations due to poor performance. Keyboard bugs and new proprietary processors can significantly improve this model.

If everything goes according to plan, it will be announced in late 2023 or early 2024. We remind that last time the model was taking its place on store shelves from 2015 to 2019.

Apple’s press service does not comment on this information in any way.

Gurman was also told that a small update awaits the MacBook Pro. This will be another acceleration of work with updated chips. It is scheduled for the end of this year but may move to the beginning of next.
