A limited number of users in the United States can watch new Netflix movies and TV shows before public release. They then provide the company with feedback on the content.

Subscribers participating in the feedback panel watch “several movies and series coming in about six months.” After they finish the review, they have to pass a survey. Subsequently, the company takes into account feedback for potential changes before the debut of the movie or show.

Netflix has previously tested many features of the software before broader releases. For example, Play Something or Top 10. Not surprisingly, the company also decided to test the content with small groups of users. Pre-release reviews have been running since May 2021.

Feedback can help Netflix identify potential hits as the company tries to fix the outflow of users it recorded in its latest report for the first time in 10 years. The company is also going to launch an ad-supported plan and stop sharing passwords.
