We have already written about a rather strange proposal to supply Ukraine with modern 155-mm ACS PzH 2000 20 in 2024-2027, but something has changed since then, and 12 such ACS are going to the Armed Forces of Ukraine at once – 5 from the Netherlands and 7 more from Germany. Moreover, it became known that the Ukrainian military has already begun training on this technique in Germany. This was announced on Twitter of German Ministry of Defense .

“Training of Ukrainian soldiers with the Panzerhaubitze 2000 started in Germany today. Together with the Netherlands, we plan to train up to 18 Ukrainian crews. This means that neither Germany nor NATO will be a warring party,” said Defense Minister Christine Lambrecht.

Panzerhaubitze 2000, or PzH 2000, entered service with the Bundeswehr in 1998. The 155-mm gun of this 52-caliber SpH is compatible with a high-precision projectile M982 Excalibur and can “throw” it at a distance of 48 km. And when using rocket-assisted projectiles, the range will grow to a fantastic 67 km. Another interesting feature of PzH 2000 – firing a series of 3 rounds in 9 seconds, that is, even one gun can make a small volley, devastating for the enemy, let alone a whole division.

By the way, even ordinary PzH 2000 projectiles hit at a distance of 30-36 km. Very good. Ruscists will like it!

The Ukrainian military have already begun to master PzH 2000 howitzers in Germany
