NFT will be available on Instagram soon. Meta CEO Mark Zuckerberg has promised that this week the application will start testing the ability to show tokens in user profiles.

“NFTs allow creators to take control over their work, fanbase and income”, says the company.

According to Zuckerberg, non-replaceable tokens will appear in the whole family of applications. Testing began on Instagram so that creators and collectors could show off their NFT.

In the near future, Facebook will also have such possibility. Meta is also thinking of adding it to Messenger and WhatsApp. In addition, they are already developing the ability to demonstrate 3D NFT in Stories on Instagram using augmented reality. According to the head of Meta, the function will be based on Spark AR. It will allow you to deploy NFT in the real world.

We already know that Meta will integrate NFT from blockchains Ethereum, Polygon, Solana, and Flow. According to the Head of Instagram Adam Mosseri, users will be able to share created or purchased NFT in feed, pages, and messages. A limited number of people in the United States will initially have access to these features.

Users will not have to pay any fees for publishing or distributing digital collections. Mosseri suggested that NFT would allow a group of creators to make money on the platform. This means that one day users will be able to buy and sell tokens directly on Instagram. Also, the creators may be able to mint NFT in the application.

Mark Zuckerberg says, NFT can contribute to the company’s metaworld:

“I would hope that the clothing that your avatar is wearing in the metaverse can be basically minted as an NFT and you can take it between your different places”.
