The invaders hit one of the ships of the Ukrainian Navy. As a result, one crew member was killed and several were injured. Dmytro Pletenchuk, spokesman for the Ukrainian Navy, reported this to Ukrinform.
"Regarding the information regarding the damage to one of the ships of the Ukrainian Navy: we confirm the fact of the ship being hit, the consequences of the attack are currently being eliminated. The majority of the crew is safe. The search for several military sailors continues. Unfortunately, one crew member was killed, several were injured," he noted.
Citing Russian public media, the agency indicates that it is supposedly about the Ukrainian Navy reconnaissance ship "Simferopol".
This is a medium reconnaissance ship of the Laguna project, built at PJSC Kuznia na Rybalskomu. It was launched on April 23, 2019, and entered the fleet in 2021.
By the way, military radio technology specialist Serhii "Flash" Beskrestnov recalled that in early August he warned about a new threat. At that time, he stated that the enemy's Rubicon unmanned systems center had adopted unmanned attack boats.
