Re-import of components for weapons manufacturers will not be taxed if the components were destroyed during the implementation of state contracts, Prime Minister of Ukraine Yulia Svyridenko announced.
"The government has decided to exempt from payment of customs duties and VAT components that the manufacturer re-imports to fulfill state contracts. In this case, the enterprise can import similar components in a volume not exceeding the destroyed one, without VAT taxation. These losses must be confirmed," her message says.
According to her, the rules for reporting to customs have also been changed for such cases.
At the same time, the Ministry of Defense noted that the executors of state contracts will provide the customer with a list of documents confirming force majeure circumstances. The benefits will apply if the loss of components occurred before the end of the state contract period.
By the way, in August, the Ministry of Defense launched the online platform zbroya.gov.ua, which collects information about all key state services and opportunities for manufacturers of weapons and military equipment in Ukraine.
The initiative was created as a single "entry point" for manufacturers, where they can find the government services, programs, and relevant information they need. In addition to services, manufacturers of weapons and military equipment can find educational opportunities on the platform to develop and scale their own businesses.
