Ukrainian company VARTA is conducting final tests of the autonomous VARTA Dozor AI interceptor drone, designed to detect and destroy enemy reconnaissance and FPV drones. Militarnyi writes about this with a link to a video from the VARTA YouTube channel.
The device is equipped with a built-in system for detecting, identifying and tracking targets based on artificial intelligence. According to the developers, it is capable of operating even in conditions of active electronic warfare.
In the future, Dozor AI is planned to be integrated with situational awareness systems, in particular DELTA. This will allow one operator to simultaneously control a group of 5–7 interceptors, creating an air defense segment where interceptor drones will play a key role.
By the way, recently at the MSPO 2025 exhibition, the UMO company showed its version of an interceptor drone called Bumblebee to counter the Shahed, which can accelerate to 350 km/h.
