Russian developers have shown their version of an FPV drone with a Kalashnikov assault rifle attached to it, namely the AKS-74U with a 30-round magazine. This was reported by the Telegram channel Ukraine context | russia no context.
The new drone is called "IP Arbalet", it is built on the basis of the 10-inch Drozd quadcopter with a DeviceF40SD flight controller. These UAVs are manufactured in St. Petersburg by the Device Consulting company. The cost of the drone exceeds 1,600 US dollars, and production volumes are stated at 500 units per month.
The drone is designed to cover columns, assault operations, and also act as an air defense system. The channel notes that Ukrainian developers demonstrated the combat operation of such a UAV back in 2024.
According to the drone's specifications, it can reach speeds of up to 100 km/h, fly a distance of 6 to 15 km at an altitude of up to 5 km. The flight time is about 8 minutes with a load of up to 4 kg and a battery capacity of 8000 mAh.
Earlier, Ukrainian specialists presented a reusable drone-interceptor with a shotgun. It was shown at the Iron Demo 2025 exhibition. This version of the UAV is capable of firing two shots without reloading, but their number can be increased to four. The drone is designed to destroy enemy UAVs flying at speeds up to 200 km/h, including "Gerbera" and reconnaissance drones.
