The "Kasta-2E2" station itself is a mobile three-coordinate radar of the decimeter range of all-round surveillance in the duty mode. It is able to recognize targets at different heights and transmit data about them, including coordinates and movement parameters. The information is transmitted to the air defense control systems, the Aerospace Forces and the army air defense by radio or via cable connection.

Recall that the previous night, the Defense Forces, and probably, struck two radar stations on the territory of the former air defense base in the Rostov region. It should be noted that the RLK-1 is responsible for organizing flights in the south of Russia, in particular, it carries out escort of aircraft, their guidance and coordination of air routes. This is one of the strategic objects of the enemy.
