Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy announced the decision to form new helicopter groups to strengthen protection against enemy drones. He made this statement after a meeting of the General Staff.
"Military issues: we have determined how to expand the capabilities of army aviation to protect against drones. Additional helicopter groups will be formed," Volodymyr Zelenskyy said.
The President also noted that work is ongoing with international partners to provide Ukraine with the necessary types of aircraft.
He also emphasized cooperation with companies that produce interceptor drones. According to him, Ukraine needs maximum production to increase the effectiveness of countering attacks.
By the way, Volodymyr Zelenskyy, in a recent interview with Fox News, stated that currently Ukrainian forces are destroying about 68% of enemy drones with domestic interceptor drones, but the task is to further increase this indicator.
