The Ministry of Digital Transformation of Ukraine announced the signing of a Memorandum of Cooperation with the Ministry of Defense of Norway. Within its framework, the Brave-Norway program will be launched. This was announced by the First Deputy Prime Minister - Minister of Digital Transformation Mykhailo Fedorov.
Within the framework of this program, a total of 20 million euros will be allocated for the development of Ukrainian and Norwegian defense technologies. According to Mikhail Fedorov, this is the preliminary budget of the program.
Brave-Norway involves the following steps:
· launching grant support for startups that create innovations in the field of UAVs and other defense technologies;
· joint hackathons to find practical solutions that will change the situation on the battlefield;
· creation of modern platforms for the integration of research institutions.
The Brave1 defense innovation cluster will be the implementer of the program from Ukraine. And the 10 million euros provided by Norway to the Innovation Development Fund will be directed to a grant program for the development of game-changers for war, which will be tested in Ukraine.
Earlier, Brave1 announced following the Defense Tech Valley 2025 exhibition that four companies from Europe and the United States announced plans to invest over $100 million in Ukrainian defense technologies and the first closed rounds.
