The Polish company WB Group, known for developing unmanned systems, is preparing to present a new cruise missile called Lanca ("Spear"), reports Militarnyi.
The official demonstration of the missile will take place at the international defense exhibition MSPO 2025, which will start in the near future. Photos of the missile were published on the social network X by military enthusiast @ArkadiuszMolis1, who gained access to the exhibition before its opening.
Judging by the images, the publication writes, Lanca has folding wings and a solid-fuel booster that allows it to gain altitude and speed before firing the main turbojet engine. The rocket will be adapted for container launch from land or sea platforms.
There is a noticeable cutout in the nose of the structure, which may indicate the presence of a homing head or an optical navigation system for terrain-contouring flight. Technical specifications, including the warhead and range of the missile, are not yet known.
By the way, WB Group announced that it has launched production of its FlyEye reconnaissance drones in Ukraine. Production was launched in early 2025 at one of the Ukrainian enterprises, but the start of production was not announced for security reasons.
