A platoon of ground robotic complexes has been created in the 33rd separate mechanized brigade, which can perform various tasks. One of the robots is the UGV "Lyut" with a machine gun, which has surpassed a person in shooting. This is stated in the social networks of the Ground Forces of the Armed Forces.

This is a four-wheeled platform with a 7.62 caliber M-240 machine gun with 550 rounds. It is noted that the error when firing is very small, regardless of how to shoot: in long or short bursts, or single shots. In the video, the robot literally sprayed the target with shots. That is, such an IRC will be able to effectively destroy enemy infantry.

As for the "Lyut" robot itself, it has an independent front suspension, which provides improved cross-country ability, and four-wheel drive. It can also be in the waiting area for up to four days. Its tasks include infantry support, surveillance, reconnaissance, detection and destruction of the enemy.

The unit's operators are currently testing the "Lyut" and are also training to operate equipment that will evacuate the wounded and mine the roads. The training is conducted on tracked and wheeled platforms.

"Drones for evacuation, mining, and defensive operations are undoubtedly a new page in the combat path of the 33rd Motorized Rifle Brigade. Saving lives and teaching people how to drive machines is a task that must be fulfilled in the conditions of modern warfare," the brigade noted.

The 33rd Motorized Rifle Brigade has, in particular, the Termit and Rys logistic IRCs, and the Gnom minesweeper.

"These robotic complexes are produced in Ukraine. We are implementing some new ideas to ensure people's lives, because this is the most valuable thing we have," says the electrician driver with the call sign "Lux".

The unit is already planning to expand the use of ground platforms.

"There are already small steps forward, personnel, at least one group, will be involved in the logistical support of the unmanned systems battalion. We are working productively to increase efforts and crews," explains the commander of the 33rd Motorized Rifle Brigade, Dmytro Palisa.

In addition to the "Termit" and "Lynx", there are other variants of NRCs on the market for evacuating the wounded. Read more about this in the article of Defense: Robots take away the wounded. How Ukraine is mastering the production of the most complex ground drones
