The L7 Simulators team has developed a simulator of the MK 19 grenade launcher. It reproduces the design, controls, and firing physics. This is stated in the statement of the Ukrainian company.
The developer claims that his solution allows for high-quality operator training in a safe virtual environment with full simulation of combat use.
L7 Simulators does not provide the exact parameters of the simulator. However, they remind that the MK 19 is an automatic grenade launcher of 40×53 mm caliber for firing from a tripod or from a mount on combat vehicles.
The grenade launcher is capable of firing in bursts at a rate of up to 325 rounds per minute. The effective range of targets is up to 1,500 m, and the maximum is over 2,200 m. The ammunition provides effective engagement of light armored vehicles, manpower, and engineering shelters.
"The MK 19 is widely used by armed forces in many countries around the world, including as standard equipment on armored vehicles, patrol vehicles, and stationary firing points," L7 Simulators added.
As you know, the MK 19 is an American development. It is an automatic, belt-fed, machine-mounted grenade launcher. The first production grenade launchers began entering service with the US Army in 1968.
By the way, in July, the Ministry of Defence put into operation a Ukrainian system of laser simulators for training grenade launchers. According to the defense department, these laser simulators are a modern tool for training grenade launcher crews to fire RPG-7s.
