The Russians are testing a new unmanned combat boat developed by the Ushkuynik company in the Black Sea, according to the Russian Telegram channel Bespilot.
The vessel is equipped with a control system via a fiber optic cable, which immediately after being launched sinks and rests on the bottom due to its own weight and protective structure.
According to the developers, combat tests of the drone are planned to be held in September. The boat can be used in several roles: as a kamikaze attack drone or as a floating platform for launching FPV drones.
Drones launched from the side are controlled via radio, while fiber-optic communication provides stable control of the boat itself from the shore. It is reported that the project was created taking into account the specifics of hostilities in the Black Sea.
By the way, it was previously reported that a GUR naval drone broke into the Novorossiysk Bay, where it exploded and eliminated five elite Russian submarine saboteurs at once.
