The Russians have begun using FPV drones with solar batteries on the front lines, writes radio technology expert Serhii "Flash" Beskrestnov.
He posted a photo of a suicide drone with a solar panel mounted on a frame and consisting of two folding parts. According to "Flash", this is not the first drone equipped with solar panels to be seen on the front.
The specialist noted that such a battery will not be able to power the drone during flight, but it opens up the possibility for the FPV drone operator to work from ambushes, waiting for the target.
It should be noted that recently, Ukrainian defense forces recorded the first use of new Russian "Chernika" kamikaze drones in Kharkiv. This is a massive and easy-to-use drone, which in its latest version can strike targets at a depth of 100 kilometers.
And the Main Intelligence Directorate revealed the contents of the new Iranian Shahed with AI and an American computer. This drone with a guidance system was previously shot down in the Sumy region.
