Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy said that the Russians could have used tankers in the Baltic Sea to launch drones. He made this statement during a speech at the Warsaw Security Forum, Ukrinform reports.
"There is increasing evidence that Russia may have used tankers in the Baltic Sea to launch drones - the same ones that caused serious disruptions in Northern Europe," Volodymyr Zelenskyy noted.
According to the President, if the tankers used by Russia serve as platforms for drones, then they should not have the right to operate freely in the Baltic Sea.
"This is de facto military activity of Russia against European countries. Therefore, Europe has the right to close straits and sea routes to defend itself," the head of state emphasized.
Recall that unidentified drones were spotted in the skies of Denmark on September 23 and 25, which led to the temporary closure of Copenhagen and Aalborg airports. On September 27, unidentified UAVs were again spotted in the country.
Similar cases also occurred in Sweden, Norway, and Germany.
