The Shahed jet has no advantages other than high speed. It can accelerate to 500 km/h, but it quickly consumes fuel and cannot fly far. This was stated by a specialist in the field of military radio technologies, Serhii "Flash" Beskrestnov.
He noted that for this reason, all Shahed jets fly at a speed of 280-330 km/h. But this is enough for them to interfere with our mobile fire groups and anti-aircraft drones.
At the same time, the specialist showed a photo of the drone found in the field and noted that this type of "Shaheed" does not resemble Iranian products.
"The jet "Shahed", which GUR showed today (September 17 - ed.), was difficult for us to get. This season, it is unrealistic to find something in the fields... It is some kind of mix of a regular "Shahed" with a jet. The engine, of course, is Chinese. And the warhead is of a regular "Shahed", he wrote.

According to him, the number of Shahed jets and their use will depend only on the success of our anti-aircraft drones against conventional Shaheds.
"Reactive drones are still more expensive than simple ones, and the Russians will not rush to switch to them without necessity ," noted Flash.
The day before, Ukrainian intelligence released a 3D model, components, and foreign component base of the Russian UAV "Geran-3" of the "U" series. The UAV "Geran-3" is an analogue of the Iranian Shahed-238 jet drone.
According to the GUR, the UAV "Geran-3" of the "U" series uses the Chinese Telefly JT80 turbojet engine, thanks to which the drone is able to move at a speed of 300 to 370 km/h. The approximate operating range of its use is up to 1,000 km.
