Ukrainian Himera showed how its walkie-talkies can withstand an explosive blast
The Himera G1 PRO walkie-talkie from Ukrainian communication systems manufacturer Himera Radios has passed explosion tests at a military training ground, the company said in a Facebook post.
"BANG! - and our radios survived... We blew it up (the radio - ed.) in different configurations - from 200 grams to 1 kg of C-4," - said Himera Radios.
According to the manufacturer, after an explosion at 0.5 m, most walkie-talkies remain operational, and at a distance of more than 1 m they have no damage, and transmission and reception continue to work.
Earlier, the company published the technical specifications of Himera G1 PRO. This radio transmits coordinates, is part of the data transmission system for operational awareness complexes. Autonomous operation in 80/10/10 mode lasts up to 48 hours. The radio has simplified setup via a smartphone and acts as a repeater, expanding network coverage.
By the way, in June it became known that Himera Radios and robotics company Tencore will work together to create stable and secure communication for ground robotic complexes.
This is not the only example of cooperation between the Ukrainian manufacturer of communication systems for the Defense Forces. Previously, Himera and the Aerobavovna project jointly conducted tests, during which the autonomous B1 repeater was raised to a height of 500 and 800 m using an aerostat complex.
