The 20th Separate K-2 Unmanned Systems Regiment , led by Lieutenant Colonel Kyrylo Veres, has released a new video highlighting the use of ground robotic systems in military rescue. Kyrylo Veres said in the video that his regiment's robotic ground platforms successfully evacuated four wounded soldiers in four days.
"Soon you will witness changes that will significantly increase the chances of an ordinary infantryman to survive. I am not speaking for our unit now, but for all units of the Defense Forces. After all, the job of K-2 is to work in the interests of adjacent brigades and save the lives of their people on the ground," said the commander of the K-2 regiment, Lieutenant Colonel Kyrylo Veres.
He added that after successfully using drones in the air and at sea, the military is moving to automate ground operations.
One of the successful examples of evacuating a wounded person using a ground drone took place in the 13th brigade of the Charter National Guard. This brigade successfully evacuated a wounded person using the Targan ground robotic complex. The drone was able to deliver the wounded person to the evacuation group over a 12 km route.
"The Chartered Officer, who required medical attention, was loaded onto a ground robotic complex and successfully delivered to the evacuation group, from where he was taken to doctors," the brigade noted.
This is further evidence that the use of ground robotic complexes is becoming increasingly common in the evacuation of wounded servicemen. More information about the use of ground drones in the Charter, including for the evacuation of military personnel, can be found in a separate article by Oboronka.
