The 93rd separate mechanized brigade "Kholodny Yar" reported a difficult but successful evacuation of a wounded serviceman using a ground robotic complex.
The incident occurred in the Donetsk direction, where a soldier of the "Alcatraz" battalion with the call sign "Yanyk" stepped on a "petal" mine during a combat mission and lost part of his foot.
After being wounded, his comrade from the 2nd Mechanized Battalion with the call sign "Jackie Chan" provided first aid and moved "Yanyk" to shelter. Due to the lack of communication with the command, both fighters were temporarily considered missing. However, they were still found and the organization of the rescue of the wounded began.
A ground drone from the NRC unit "Alter Ego" was used for the evacuation. However, due to obstacles, the drone was unable to reach the position, and "Yanyk" was forced to crawl on his knees to the evacuation point.
When the fighter reached the location, a ground drone began to evacuate him, but it exploded 300 meters from the positions. Fortunately, "Yanyk" himself was not injured in the explosion.
The servicemen had to wait a day for the new robot. The drone arrived, covering a distance of almost 15 km, and still took the soldier to Kostyantynivka, where he was taken by medics. As "Yanyk" himself reported after the evacuation, the NRC took him for about 6 hours to the place of rescue. According to him, without the help of the robot, he would not have been able to cover the entire evacuation route himself.
We previously wrote that the 141st separate mechanized brigade, thanks to the ground-based robotic complex, was able to evacuate 13 wounded in a few weeks.
