Ukrainian startup NORDA Dynamics, which specializes in the development of autonomous drone control systems, has received $1 million in investment, Defender Media reports.
The main investor was the Swedish company Varangians. The financing was also contributed by the Ukrainian fund Angel One, the American-Ukrainian MITS Capital, the United Angels Network syndicate, and the Unpopular VC fund.
The money is planned to be used to expand production, increase the team, and create new solutions to increase drone autonomy. According to the company's co-founder and CEO Nazar Bigun, NORDA Dynamics was one of the first to scale its autonomy modules to tens of thousands of combat applications and is now moving to the next stage of development.
The company was founded in 2024. Its autonomous developments are focused on operating in the absence of GPS, traditional communication channels, and in the presence of active electronic warfare.
Among its key products is the Underdog autonomy module, which enables drones to automatically navigate to their targets. According to the company, this system is the most widely used in combat zones.
Another development is StableLink, a system for stabilizing the UAV's position in azimuth and altitude, which allows it to hold the device even in the complete absence of navigation signals. It is already used in drone repeaters and minesweepers.
Investors note the practicality of the Ukrainian startup's solutions. Varangians CEO Per Lager noted that the NORDA Dynamics team has demonstrated a high level of competence in the field of defense technologies and is capable of creating new solutions for the modern battlefield.
NORDA Dynamics emphasizes that their systems are integrated with dozens of Ukrainian drone manufacturers and have been tested in real combat conditions. This was made possible by the ability to perform missions without the participation of an operator in complex environments where there is no communication or navigation.
