The 412th Separate Unmanned Aerial Vehicle Regiment Nemesis destroyed two Russian Tor anti-aircraft missile systems, a Buk air defense missile system launcher, and its radar in August 2025. Estimated enemy losses are $80-90 million, the unit said on its social media.
The press service of the 412th Nemesis Air Defense Battalion explained that in the war against Ukraine, the enemy uses the Tor and Buk air defense systems to cover troops and important facilities on the front line.
"These installations were actively used by the enemy to shoot down tactical aircraft of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, helicopters, missiles and other air targets. The radar, which was hit by the Nemesis regiment, was critically important for the operation of the air defense itself. The station monitored the airspace, detected Ukrainian strike weapons in the sky, and guided the air defense system to the target," the 412th Nemesis regiment noted.

It was also added that the Russian defense industry today has significant problems with the supply of components for the production and modernization of air defense systems. Therefore, the systematic destruction of enemy air defense forces the enemy to constantly change tactics, the military say.
"The systematic destruction of air defense, especially such key elements as radars, gradually reduces the density of the enemy's defense. If in 2022–2023 it consisted of three or four echelons, today there are often only one or two left in key directions. Knocking out enemy air defense frees up space and opens up new opportunities for our comrades on the battlefield," explained an officer of the 412th Nemesis Regiment with the call sign "Son".
As is known, since the beginning of 2024, the 412th Nemesis Regiment has hit 2,500 enemy howitzers and guns, and in the first year of its operation, destroyed targets worth over a billion US dollars.
