An antenna used in "Shahed-136" (Russian name: "Geran") attack drones has been found for sale on the Chinese trading platform AliExpress. Information about this appeared on the Russian Telegram channel WarGonzo.
It is an 11-element antenna with protection against electronic interference, which is a key component of the drone's navigation system. The device costs $3,290 with the possibility of delivery.
According to the product description, the antenna provides precise guidance of drones even in areas where modern electronic jamming systems operate. It receives signals from GPS, the Chinese BeiDou navigation system, and is also compatible with the Russian GLONASS. The housing is made of corrosion-resistant materials and is suitable for operation in extreme temperature conditions.
The device has high circular polarization, a wide gain bandwidth, and can be tuned in frequency, size, and structure to suit the user's needs.
Earlier, Ukrainian electronic warfare specialists who studied the design of the Geran drones found numerous components of foreign origin in them, in particular American and Indian. The GUR of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine also noted that in the Shaheds, which were discovered in May 2025, the share of Chinese electronics increased to 60-65%.
The open sale of foreign components for attack drones only confirms the need for additional sanctions against suppliers. Some of these sanctions were recently imposed by the President of Ukraine.
