The Azimuth passive drone detection system from the Ukrainian company Kvertus has received a function to intercept the video channel from UAVs. This is reported on the manufacturer's social networks.
As noted, a radio reconnaissance specialist can now view the video captured by the drone during flight in a separate window of the Azimuth interface. This allows them to see the same thing that the operator of the enemy drone sees and take the necessary measures.
In other words, if an intercepted video shows an enemy drone flying towards our positions, we can determine the direction it is coming from, the approximate time it will take to arrive, and other indicators. As a result, we can shoot it down at a long distance.
The company notes that the new Azimuths have already received the video interception system, and soon the developers will provide the opportunity to update all previously released models via the Internet.
Previously, Kvertus developed a system to protect cars from drones. It is called AD CERBERUS and has an effective range of over 100 m.
