The Turkish Armed Forces will receive a new unmanned combat drone Sancar. It will be transferred to the army in the near future. This was reported to Ukrinform by the press service of the defense company Havelsan, which is the manufacturer of the device.
"The SANCAR unmanned combat surface vehicle has completed acceptance tests and is ready for delivery to security forces units," the manufacturer said.

At the same time, HAVELSAN General Director Dr. Mehmet Akif Najar noted that in addition to military use, Sancar has the potential for civilian use, in particular for performing logistics tasks and other non-combat tasks.
The length of the drone is 12.7 m, width – 3.3 m, and tonnage – 9 tons. The development works thanks to two diesel engines and is equipped with two water jet engines to reach a speed of over 40 knots. The range is over 400 nautical miles at a speed of 10 knots (74 km/h). The device can operate in a small storm.
By the way, recently at the DSEI 2025 exhibition in London, Latvian startup SUBmerge Baltic showed its autonomous underwater vehicle Pike. The drone is designed to patrol, map, and survey what is happening near critical underwater infrastructure facilities near the coast.
Previously, the German company EUROATLAS introduced a new underwater drone, the Greyshark. It comes in two versions and is capable of independently changing its tasks. For this, it has artificial intelligence.
