The Ministry of Defense of Ukraine's GUR has published information on the composition of the Russian universal inter-service glider UMBP D-30SN and data on 36 enterprises that are part of its production cooperation. The data is presented in the "Weapon Components" section on the War&Sanctions portal.
"UMPB is a high-precision guided aviation munition (guided gliding aviation bomb) with a warhead integrated into the body, equivalent to the FAB-250 aerial bomb. The internal modules and blocks of the UMPB are similar to those used in the UMPK modules, in particular the autopilot module – SMART," the intelligence report said.
The GUR explained that the carriers of the D-30SN aerial bomb can be Su-34, Su-30SM, Su-35, Su-24 aircraft, and the S-70 Okhotnik UAV. The range of use is up to 100 km (provided that it is used from a height of 12-15 km).
According to preliminary data, the UMPB can also be launched from ground platforms - 300 mm Tornado-S multiple launch rocket systems using a starter engine.
"To operate in conditions of electronic warfare, the UMPB navigation system includes a satellite navigation system with an adaptive antenna array (CRPA) – "Kometa-M8", already familiar from other products," the GUR clarified.
It was emphasized here that the patent owner and the main organizer of the production of the UMPB is the Russian corporation "Tactical Missile Armaments", the main contractor is an enterprise within the corporation JSC "Concern "Granit-Electron".
Ukrainian intelligence emphasized that dozens of enterprises involved in the production of the D-30SN UMPB have long been known for their ties to the military-industrial complex of the aggressor state of Russia and are already under sanctions by most countries of the sanctions coalition.
"However, individual manufacturers and suppliers of components for the Russian air bomb have still remained outside the scope of the sanctions policy, and therefore continue to have access to foreign components, equipment, and technologies," the GUR said.
By the way, recently the GUR showed the stuffing of the Russian jet drone, which accelerates to 370 km/h. Also, earlier, Ukrainian intelligence showed more than 100 foreign components in Russian drones and missiles.
