The Ministry of Digital Transformation invites startups to join the competition and attract up to 3 thousand pounds sterling to develop a demining solution. This is stated in the message of the Ministry of Digital Transformation.

"UK Ukraine TechBridge and Sikorsky Innovation Challenge are launching the Innovation for Humanitarian Demining competition to support Ukrainian teams that create innovations for humanitarian demining. The three best teams will receive grants to develop their own technologies  £3,000, £2,000, £1,000," the message said.

The ministry added that competition participants will receive:

- cooperation with leading demining experts and operators;

- investments and partnerships with British companies;

- mentoring support;

- a chance to implement the development into real projects.

Startups and research teams with ideas or ready-made developments in the areas of:

1) creation of drones, robotic systems and multi-sensor platforms for remote detection of explosive objects;

2) development of ground and air autonomous platforms for safe cleaning of territories;

3) interactive maps and real-time demining management systems;

4) as well as those that have the potential for humanitarian demining.

The competition will take place on September 30 in a mixed format in Kyiv at the Igor Sikorsky Kyiv Polytechnic Institute. You can register until September 22 at the link.

By the way, recently the Danish-Ukrainian company Dropla Tech raised €2.4 million to scale its technology for detecting explosive objects using artificial intelligence. The financing within the pre-seed round was provided by the Danish Export-Investment Fund, Maj Invest Holding and Final Frontier.
