The enemy has begun testing FPV drones as carriers of "Petal " anti-personnel mines. This was reported by Serhii "Flash" Beskrestnov, a specialist in the field of military communications and communication technologies.
"The enemy is testing FPV for dropping anti-personnel mines "Petal". What about our withdrawal from the convention against landmines? How much longer do we have to wait?" he noted.
The report does not specify where the drone is being used, but judging by its design, it can carry 16 mines in a container. The photo shows several drones with containers.
The "Petal" or "Butterfly" mine itself is a Soviet-made anti-personnel mine. It is an almost exact copy of the American BLU-43/B "Dragontooth" mine. This mine is a pressure-action munition and is still used in Russia today.
Previously, the occupying country had already attached anti-tank mines to the Shahed and Lancets. In addition, the Americans used an anti-personnel mine to shoot down a drone using FPV.
