During the first month of operation, 5.6 thousand drones with a total cost of UAH 216 million were delivered to the front line through the DOT-Chain Defence IT system. This was reported by the Defense Procurement Agency (DPA).
This IT system operates on the principle of an online store. That is, drones or other equipment can be ordered through the site for state money or e-points and quickly receive the order. It is noted that the marketplace already has equipment from 25 companies. In addition to FPV drones, the system has added the ability to order bomber drones.
In total, the military has already ordered more than 11 thousand drones for 397 million UAH, and delivery times have been reduced by more than 5 times - from several months to a few weeks. Thus, the average delivery time is up to two weeks, and the record result is only 5 days from the moment of ordering to receiving drones on the front line.
"DOT-Chain Defence has become a platform where combat brigades can directly purchase different types of UAVs. At the moment, 12 brigades operating in Donetsk, Zaporizhzhia, Kherson, and Kharkiv regions are involved in the project. We are working on scaling and improving the marketplace. Our goal is clear: to build a system that helps our defenders receive everything they need, on time and in sufficient quantity," said the Minister of Defence of Ukraine Denys Shmyhal.
The DOT-Chain Defence team is currently scaling the marketplace based on feedback from military personnel. The developers have visited the combat zone three times and spoken with the military to attract new brigades and expand the range of available equipment. In particular, DOT-Chain Defence expects other types of drones, electronic warfare/anti-personnel weapons, ground robotic complexes, and dumps.
It was previously reported that Dot-Chain Defence allows the military to order drones from 20 manufacturers.
