The Czech company LPP sro has unveiled the JWI-4000 unmanned aerial vehicle, designed to intercept and destroy enemy drones, such as the Shahed 136 and its modifications. This was reported by military commentator @praisethesteph.
The device has a folding fixed wing, which allows for near-vertical takeoff. If necessary, the drone can use an additional RATO accelerator.
The system combines compact dimensions, high speed, modern sensors, a powerful power plant and integrated artificial intelligence. A directed fragmentation warhead weighing up to 1.5 kg is used to engage targets.
The drone has a maximum flight altitude of 4,000 meters and can stay at this altitude for up to 20 minutes. Thanks to an electric motor with a ducted fan, the device can reach speeds of up to 300 km/h.
Like the MTS drones manufactured by LPP sro, the JWI-4000 operates completely autonomously, using artificial intelligence algorithms to search for and destroy targets.
MTS drones are already being mass-produced and supplied to Ukraine. According to available information, the JWI-4000 may soon be deployed in combat conditions or is already being used on the Ukrainian front.
