The General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine showed how the 141st separate mechanized brigade used a ground robotic complex to evacuate a wounded soldier.
"The 141st Mechanized Brigade is already actively using ground robotic complexes. But there was a moment when they performed one of the most complex and important missions for the first time. It was about the evacuation of a wounded comrade. Despite the fact that this experience was the first, it ended in success," the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine said in a statement.
A serviceman of the 141st Mechanized Brigade with the call sign "Tanchyk" shared details of the mission to evacuate a wounded soldier.
"A task was received, we need to evacuate "300". The first time in our brigade. The serviceman had been passing by for three days. We were accompanied by "eyes". The Russians blocked our way. We had to go around. The serviceman threw down his crutches when they shouted into his radio: "Throw them out". He heard, gave a signal, did everything correctly... There was adrenaline, because now you understand that you are not just carrying 20 packs of water, but you are carrying a person", – said "Tanchyk".
According to him, during the mission there was a lack of electronic warfare and video communication. However, the fighter was able to be evacuated. "Tanchyk" also noted that in general the NRC is very "survivable" – it has already been hit by three FPVs. And it is also capable of delivering what the "Vampire" drone would need to make twenty sorties.
At the same time, the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine added that in just a few weeks of using the NRC, specialists from the 141st Motorized Rifle Brigade evacuated 13 wounded. They also delivered over a ton of provisions to the battlefield and performed other important missions.
Recall that this is not the first time that the NRC has helped evacuate the wounded. For example, a Zmiy-500 ground drone of the Charter brigade rescued a wounded soldier, covering a 34 km route.
Earlier, the 118th Mechanized Brigade of the Armed Forces of Ukraine also showed how a fighter was rescued using a ground robotic complex.
At the same time, the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, General Oleksandr Syrsky, recently said that Ukraine is testing aerial platforms for evacuating the wounded.
