Earlier, information appeared that Google is preparing support for Quick Share technology for iPhone, which will allow you to quickly transfer files from Android to iOS. Experts from the Android Authority portal, while analyzing the beta version of Google Play Services 25.37.31, discovered exactly how the Quick Share function will work for iPhone devices.

Transferring files from Android to iPhone will be done via a QR code that the Android owner can show to the iPhone user. After scanning the code, the files will be uploaded to Google servers, where the recipient will be able to download them within 24 hours. It is planned that the QR code will also be able to be used for transfers between Android devices, if users choose this method.

Unlike sharing between two Android devices, which can be done offline via a direct connection, transferring to an iPhone will require an internet connection. This means that you won't be able to share files in places without Wi-Fi or cellular service, such as on an airplane or in an area without coverage. You may also need to sign in to your Google account to use the feature.

The transferred data will be encrypted before being uploaded to the cloud. This approach is similar to Samsung's Quick Share service, which also allows you to upload files to the cloud for later download using a QR code.

Currently, this is only about the functionality found in the Google Play Services application code, and it may differ from what will be implemented in the final version of Quick Share.
