Microsoft has announced global increases in the recommended retail prices of Xbox Series S/X consoles, controllers, and new games. The changes will affect most markets, including Europe, the UK, and Australia.
The base 512GB Xbox Series S has gone up from $299.99 to $379.99, and the 1TB Series X has gone up from $499.99 to $599.99. The 1TB Series S is now $429.99, while the drive-free Series X is now $549.99. The special 2TB Series X Galaxy Black model is now $729.99.
Accessories have also gone up in price: the wireless controller is now $64.99, the headset is $119.99. Select new Xbox games will go up in price to $79.99 this fall, as will some games for the Nintendo Switch 2.
The price of the Xbox Game Pass subscription remains unchanged.
By the way, Sony also announced an increase in the prices of its consoles, but the prices of peripherals and games remained unchanged.
