As part of gamescom 2025 Opening Night Live, Wargaming studio presented the new tank action World of Tanks: HEAT.
World of Tanks: HEAT is a dynamic 10v10 Hero Action game in which players take on the role of agents piloting experimental modern tanks. That is, it's like Overwatch/Battlefield, but on tanks. Much more dynamic and modern than the classic World of Tanks.
Each agent and their combat vehicle in the game fulfills a certain role – a "tank" defender, a sniper, a scout. Each of the vehicles can be customized to your liking thanks to modern weapon systems, armor modules and abilities. Of course, there will be visual improvements.
The game takes place in an alternate timeline after World War II, using specialized technology.
The developers have adapted classic shooter modes for tank battles – Kill Confirmed, Domination, Conquest. Initially, the game will feature six agents with their own unique tanks, and their number will increase over time. Like all games in the World of Tanks series, the new World of Tanks: HEAT will be free.
World of Tanks: HEAT is built on Wargaming's new proprietary engine and will be available on PC (via Wargaming Game Center and Steam), PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and Steam Deck. This is Wargaming's first simultaneous full cross-platform release with cross-progression support. The game will have Ukrainian localization.
