The Windows 11 taskbar now has a function to check your internet speed

Microsoft has added a new feature to the Windows 11 taskbar that allows users to quickly check their internet connection. The feature is currently available in the Canary, Developer, and Beta channels, according to insider @phantomofearth.

A similar feature has also appeared in the Internet connection window in the quick settings context menu. The button opens a tab in the browser and immediately starts the test.

One of the drawbacks of this feature is that Windows 11 will use Bing for verification. Unfortunately, there is no option to change the preferred service for verification yet.

Recall that Windows 11 recently also received a feature to synchronize the clipboard with Android devices, as well as improved system dark theme and fixed Bluetooth audio quality when using a microphone.

Meanwhile, Windows 11 recently overtook Windows 10 in popularity for the first time, but began to lose ground again in late August. It doesn't help that Windows 10 support ends in a month.
