The Kyiv International Institute of Sociology (KIIS) conducted a nationwide survey, to which it added a question on the use of artificial intelligence. A total of 1,029 respondents aged 18 and over were surveyed, of whom 64% had never used artificial intelligence.
9% have tried using artificial intelligence, but have not found any application for it in everyday life. Only 26% of respondents have practical experience of using it, of which 9% use it several times a month or less, 12% use it daily or almost daily, and 5% use it several times a month.
People aged 18 to 29 are the most likely to use AI, at 54%. Only 4% of respondents aged 60 and over use AI.
Urban residents are more active users of AI than rural residents. Among the urban population as a whole, the level of regular use is 21%, while among the rural population it is only 9%.
There is also a big difference in the level of well-being of people who use artificial intelligence. The better off the respondents are financially, the more they use new technologies.
Regarding the impact of artificial intelligence on the world and people, almost half of those surveyed believe that the technology contains many risks and rather brings us closer to significant problems. 39% believe that AI contributes to progress and brings humanity closer to a better future. 16% could not decide on an answer.
