V-color and Gigabyte introduce DDR5 memory with built-in OLED display

V-color and Gigabyte have announced (via NotebookCheck) a series of DDR5 XFinity+ RAM featuring a built-in OLED display. Each kit consists of two modules: one standard and one with a display, allowing users to see technical parameters in real time.

The OLED display is located on the right side of the module and displays real-time information about memory profile (Intel/AMD), capacity, speed, timings, voltage, and temperature. The information is available even during POST, i.e. before the operating system loads.

The modules are designed for overclockers and gamers and are available in 32, 48 and 64 GB kits. For Intel platforms, speeds of up to 9066 MT/s with CL38 timings are claimed, for AMD — up to 9000 MT/s, with the 32 GB kit having minimum timings of CL26. The memory supports both overclocking profiles — Intel XMP and AMD EXPO.

The manufacturers also plan to release four-module kits, where two modules will be working and two will be decorative with RGB lighting. Connection to Gigabyte motherboards does not require additional cables or connectors. It is currently unknown whether the display will work with other boards without additional connections.

The XFinity+ will be available in black and white. The RGB lighting is customizable via the Gigabyte Control Center software.

Mass production is scheduled for the third quarter of 2025. Initially, the modules will be available exclusively at the American retail chain Newegg, later on Amazon, the official V-color website, and other retail chains. The cost of the kits has not yet been announced.
