The Ukrainian card roguelike Forestygian from indie developers Serhiy and Mykhailo Yevtushenkiv has been released on Steam.

Forestygian is a tactical roguelike with deck building and combat, based on abilities and reinforced by card synergies. The difference from most similar games is that the character's abilities remain unchanged, and the cards affect the amount of mana, health and additional effects that strengthen the player. Another interesting feature is the long line of opponents and the ability to beat three, six or even more enemies at once.

AI was actively used in the development of Forestygian, for example, to create images of heroes, enemies, backgrounds, the game logo, cards, and abilities. In addition, AI was used to localize the game into 30 languages. I wonder if a Ukrainian translation was also generated?

Forestygian author Serhiy Yevtushenko has been developing games for over 20 years and has worked at most major Ukrainian studios, including Boston Animation, Deep Shadows, Crytek Kiev , and Wargaming Kyiv. He has been working in the UK since 2015 and recently decided to try his hand at indie.

To celebrate the release, Forestygian is being offered on Steam with a 20% discount for UAH 260. If you already have a copy of Menace from the Deep, you can get an additional discount when purchasing the bundle.
