Ubisoft has announced the release of new content for the game Assassin's Creed Mirage, which will be available for free until the end of 2025. This is reported by Engadget.
The expansion will include a new story chapter in which the main character, Basim, will travel to the city of Al-Ula, located in modern-day Saudi Arabia. The events will take place in the 9th century.
The update also includes gameplay improvements to both the base game and new content. In particular, Ubisoft plans to improve the open-world mechanics and stealth combat system that were the core of Mirage's gameplay design.
The expansion was developed in partnership with Savvy Games Group, a video game and esports company with financial support from the Saudi Arabian government. The collaboration was first reported earlier this year in the French newspaper Les Echos.
The exact release date for the expansion has not yet been announced.
