Ubisoft has announced a free story expansion for Assassin's Creed Mirage, Valley of Memory, which will be released on November 18, 2025. The DLC will add approximately six hours of new content, gameplay improvements, and updates to the base game.
Valley of Memory continues the story of Basim, who travels to the oasis city of Al-Ula in search of his long-lost father. The expansion will feature a new map, additional assassination targets, side quests, and contracts. Ubisoft also promises that missions will be more varied, allowing players to complete them in different ways.
However, the expansion has been controversial due to its location, with the Al-Ula region located in modern-day Saudi Arabia. According to Engadget, the DLC was made possible in part by Ubisoft's partnership with an esports group backed by the Saudi government. Previously, company officials have expressed concerns about Ubisoft's ties to the state-owned investment fund PIF, which has also been involved in major gaming deals, including buying a stake in EA.
