In May 2025, the Ukrainian car fleet was replenished with more than 3,000 hybrid passenger cars (HEV and PHEV), Ukravtoprom reports. This is 43% more than in the same period last year.
Of the total number of hybrids, 60% are new cars — last year this share was 55%, which indicates a growing interest in modern technologies among Ukrainian car owners.
Leaders among new hybrids:
- TOYOTA RAV-4 is the unchanging market leader with 439 registrations.
- NISSAN Qashqai came in second place with 91 registrations.
- The AUDI Q8 rounds out the top three with 79 cars sold.
Among hybrids with mileage, the most popular were:
- TOYOTA Prius — 101 registrations.
- KIA Niro — 65.
- FORD Fusion (US version) — 59.
The growing popularity of hybrids in Ukraine indicates a gradual transition of consumers to more economical and environmentally friendly transport.
Recall that in May 2025, demand for electric vehicles also increased in Ukraine. 1,257 new cars were sold, which is 93% more than in May 2024.
