Ukrainian tech company Ajax Systems presented a new product — the Ajax DoorBell video doorbell with built-in AI, an IR sensor, and app control.
As stated on the company's website, the new video call has a 4 MP camera with HDR technology, infrared illumination at a distance of up to 6 meters, and a price of 9,999 hryvnias.
"DoorBell combines the convenience of a smart doorbell with high-end security and video surveillance. When someone rings the doorbell, users can speak to visitors instantly, with no lags or delays. Equipped with a PIR sensor and built-in AI, DoorBell accurately detects movement and recognizes people, animals, and vehicles. Users can always get a clear, high-quality view of activity at their front door thanks to the doorbell’s wide-range HDR camera," the product description states.
The key features of Ajax DoorBell are real-time notification of guests to the user without delay; video surveillance - the video call notifies about the movement of people, animals or vehicles, records video on a video recorder; informing security companies even without Wi-Fi - via the Ajax hub.
The video doorbell features the company's own noise and echo cancellation solutions. It also has a significantly higher volume level compared to other devices on the market. Using Ajax DoorBell, users will also be able to configure detection and receive notifications for all or only a specific type of object.
"The DoorBell camera, equipped with a 4-megapixel CMOS sensor, provides clear and detailed images. The vertical viewing angle of 90° and horizontal 155° covers the entire entrance area. The camera captures every detail: from faces to license plates. Thanks to HDR technology, there are no overexposed or excessively dark areas in the images. Thus, even in difficult lighting conditions, the DoorBell provides a high-quality and evenly illuminated image. In addition, IR illumination allows the camera to detect objects at a distance of up to 6 meters even in complete darkness. The video call's artificial intelligence is constantly improved through automated updates, so users always have access to the latest features without the need for additional maintenance," says the blog of the technology company Ajax Systems.
As a reminder, Ajax Systems recently introduced an updated app for Apple Watch. One of the main improvements is a new design with an improved control interface and more convenient navigation, which will allow users to explore a list of spaces instead of hubs. And on November 21, 2024, the company held its sixth Ajax Special Event — an annual presentation of its latest technologies and devices. At the event, the company introduced new cameras, motion sensors, and more. One of the main announcements then was the IndoorCam Wi-Fi video surveillance camera with an IR sensor, built-in AI, and a backup communication channel.
