US President Donald Trump and his family are launching their own mobile operator, Trump Mobile, and introducing the gold-plated T1 Phone, an Android smartphone made in the USA. Both products are produced by the Trump Organization, which is run by Trump's sons, Eric Trump and Donald Trump Jr.
The T1 Phone is now available for pre-order for $499, and is scheduled for release in September 2025. The smartphone features a 6.8-inch AMOLED display with a camera notch and a 120Hz refresh rate.
The smartphone has a camera module on the back, which resembles the latest iPhones in design. It houses three sensors – a 50-megapixel main sensor, a 2-megapixel depth sensor, and a 2-megapixel macro lens. On the front, there is a 16-megapixel selfie camera.
Currently, the T1 Phone has 256 GB of storage, 12 GB of RAM and a yet unknown processor. A 5000 mAh battery with 20 W charging will be responsible for autonomy. The device also has a fingerprint scanner, face recognition and even a 3.5 mm headphone jack. The smartphone will run on Android 15.
As for the second announcement, its own mobile service, that's a limited offering for the U.S. Trump Mobile will operate as a mobile virtual network operator (MVNO) through the three major U.S. wireless carriers - A&T, Verizon, and T-Mobile USA.
The main plan is The 47 Plan (Trump is the 47th president of the United States). It will include unlimited minutes for talk, texting, and unlimited 5G internet, but only the first 20 GB will have high speed. Other benefits include free international calls, 24/7 support, and more. The plan will cost $47.45 per month (Trump was also the 45th president of the United States).
As a reminder, even before Donald Trump took office as US President in early 2025, he introduced his own memecoin $TRUMP. Trump's wife Melania did the same, introducing $MELANIA at the end of January. Despite Trump's great political influence, both memecoins lost 60% of their value after the inauguration. Later, there were reports that Democrats wanted to ban Trump and other US officials from issuing their own cryptocurrency.
