Investors expect Elon Musk's company to introduce an affordable version of the Model Y electric car, which should support sales after the expiration of the $7,500 US tax credit.
In June, Tesla said it had already assembled the first units of a simplified version of the Model Y, which is about 20% cheaper to produce. According to Reuters, its production in the United States could reach 250,000 units per year by 2026.
The company also recorded record quarterly sales in the third quarter of 2025, amid growing demand for electric vehicles before the end of tax breaks.
