Xiaomi showed an interesting smartphone concept at the MWC 2025 exhibition in Barcelona.
It's a modular device. The main feature of this gadget is the camera lens module, which can be attached using magnets.
Unfortunately, Xiaomi has provided few details about the device, but has stated that it has no plans to bring the smartphone to market at this time. While there are no plans to make it a commercial product yet, Xiaomi is interested in receiving feedback from users.
While this modular smartphone looks interesting, the idea itself is not new. Sony has previously created something similar with the QX100. In addition, Xiaomi also created the Xiaomi 12S Ultra concept with a 35mm Leica lens. However, the difference is that this lens module includes the camera sensor, while in other cases it was just an addition to the smartphone's sensors.
By the way, Xiaomi also showed off the Xiaomi 15 and 15 Ultra smartphones and the world's first TWS headphones with Wi-Fi support, the Xiaomi Buds 5 Pro, at MWC 2025.
