Samsung has officially launched the beta testing of the One UI 8 interface based on Android 16 for a number of Galaxy A and Galaxy S23 series smartphones. The update is available for Galaxy A36, A35, A55, A54 models, as well as for the flagship Galaxy S23 series. This is reported by Sammobile.
The One UI 8 beta program for these models is only available in the US, UK, South Korea, and India. To participate, users must complete the registration process through the Samsung Members app.
The Galaxy A36, the latest member of the A series, has received the One UI 8 beta with build number A366EXXU4ZYHD. The update is 2.1 GB in size.
For the Galaxy A55, the update is available with the build number A556EXXUAZYH6 and is 1.9 GB in size.
The Galaxy A54 and Galaxy A35 have also started receiving the One UI 8 beta firmware. The update for all these models has appeared in India and should be expected soon in the US, UK, and South Korea.
As for the Galaxy S23 flagships, previous information indicated the launch of the beta program on September 8, but the update became available earlier - the first reports of its installation have already appeared.
The launch of the One UI 8 beta for the foldable Galaxy Fold5 and Flip5 models is also scheduled for September, but there is no information about the appearance of the update for them yet.
By the way, it was previously reported that Samsung will begin rolling out the stable version of One UI 8 based on Android 16 in September, and the Galaxy S25 series smartphones will be the first to receive this update.
